*Stuff backstage with Abyss and Brian Kendrick. Kendrick has the mask of Abyss on while meditating. Kendrick comes to the ring and calls out Abyss, who comes out with a towel over his head. Kendrick gives the mask back, Abyss puts it on and attacks, leaving him lay with a Black Hole Slam. Abyss goes for a chair shot but Alex Shelley, Generation Me and Amazing Red make the save.

Amazing Red & TV champion Eric Young & Orlando Jordan beat Robbie E. (w/Cookie) & British Invasion (Doug Williams & Magnus) when Red pinned Robbie E. after the Code Red.

TNA IMPACT REPORT 12/30

-Jarrett walked to the ring with Team Jarrett with him. Jarrett bragged about how he so easily beat Amazing Red las week and then asked him if he had a baby brother. Red said he did, and that’s his opponent this week. Jarrett asked Red‘s brother to come on out. Red instead walked out alone. Jarrett called him a “little guy” and said he won’t hurt him. He said he realizes he’s the most feared fighter in the world today, and he understands his little brother having stage fright. “I know he’s scared you-know-what.” He vowed to let his baby brother take the first shot at him with his eyes closed. Out walked a red-headed muscular tall wrestler. He stood behind Jarrett and then tapped him on the shoulder. Jarrett got all wide-eyed when he turned around and saw it wasn’t the same sized person as Red.

4 — JEFF JARRETT vs. “BABY RED” (w/Amazing Red)

Jarrett had to scramble to the ropes twice in the first minute to break early submission attempts. Jarrett ended up on offense and went for an anklelock, but Baby Red turned it into an anklelock of his own. Jarrett, with the held of Gunner and Murphy, reached the bottom rope. Tenay pulled a word out of the 1980s and said that was “bogus.” Nobody under the age of 60 has used that word in 25 years. Amazing Red beat up Murphy at ringside as Gunner tended to a stunned Jarrett. Jarrett then snuck into the ring with his gutter, but Red yanked it away and smashed it on the mat. Jarrett then bailed out of the ring and pretended to be held back by Team Jarrett, but didn’t put up a real fight. Taz said Jarrett was very content being held back.

WINNER: No decision in 2:00. Good old-style segment. It’s been done hundreds of times, but it was good basic stuff that works. [c]

(4) BROTHER RAY vs. AMAZING RED

Ray squishes Red on his way into the ring. He Back Body Drops him halfway to the lights. It’ll be awesome if they let Red win. Ray thrusts a shoulder into Red then chops his chest. He clubs Red in the back, then hits a measured right hand to the head. The crowd wants Devon. Red gets back to his knees, so Ray clubs him back down. He Beal Tosses Red across the ring, then drives his boot into Red’s abdomen and wrenches his arm. Ray hits a Bionic Elbow, taunting Red to get up and fight. Ray gets down to his knees, telling Red to sock him. Red does. Ray tries to squash him, but Red rolls out of the way. He quickly scales the ropes and nails a dropkick off the top. Ray gets up in the corner, but when Red charges Ray gets his boot up and nails the newly renamed “Bully Bomb” for the win.

WINNER: Brother Ray in 3 minutes.

After the match Ray gets a chair. He stands around, presumably waiting for Devon’s music to hit. Hey, what do you know, Devon’s music hits! Devon comes down and Ray flees through the crowd. Devon gives chase.

Robbie E vs Amazing Red

Red looks amused by Robbie, and makes the mistake of turning his back before the match and Robbie attacks him from behind viciously stomping him and laying him out with a short clothesline. Red tries mounting a comeback but Robbie rams Red into the corner and hits a series of shoulderblocks. Robbie whips Red to the ropes, but Red comes out with a flying headscissors and a climbing enziguiri and spinkick for 2. Red comes off the top but Robbie just shoves him to his back, measures him, and hits the Diamond Cutter for the win.

Winner: Robbie E

Cookie brings Robbie a mic and tells Jay Lethal to look at what he just did to his buddy Red, and he’s going to do it to them too and bling out the X Division Title. They get a BIG boring chant.

Red Wins The X Title In NYC

The Amazing Red defeated Jay Lethal to win the X-Division Championship tonight at TNA Wrestling’s first ever house show in the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, New York. The event is still currently going on.

This is Red’s third reign as X-Division Champion. The victory was unexpected and can be considered a major upset as Red has not been on TNA Impact for weeks while Lethal has been riding a major push on television for the past few weeks.

Lethal had just defeated Douglas Williams to win the X-Division Title on the September 6 television taping for Impact. The match aired on television on September 16.

Tonight is a big night for TNA Wrestling. In addition to taped editions of Impact and Reaction airing tonight on Spike TV, this is the first time where the company is running two house shows on the same evening. In addition to tonight’s event in New York City, another group of TNA stars is wrestling at the Oklahoma State Fair, in a card headlined by a Ric Flair-Kurt Angle one-on-one match.
